Belo Betty Sky Island Revolution – Deck List

kaizokudad, 12/22/202312/22/2023

Leader ability

When you think of a glass canon in one piece tcg then Belo Betty comes to mind. Betty has a unique color type of red and yellow with a “revolution army” tag. Her ability also lets you give up to three trigger characters or “revolution army” characters up to 3k power by discarding a revolution army card.

Given her ability and leader effect, most Belo Betty decks are filled with trigger and revolution army cards to swarm the field fast and push for game. This deck list is different from a traditional Betty deck. This list takes advantage of Betty’s ability by swarming the field with searchers like Betty and Shura. This allows you to build a board that will benefit from Betty’s leader ability while also adding cards to your hand.

Weaknesses

Betty can hit hard and depending on her triggers she can hit fast as well. However, Betty’s weaknesses are in her defense and end game. Since Betty decks play a lot of trigger cards, oftentimes Betty will want to take damage early to hit those triggers and flood the board with characters. With a full board, she can best make use of her ability and swing at the opponent with high-power characters.

But because Betty is taking damage to life often and discarding cards to play their trigger characters, Betty players will often leave themselves with little to no cards in hand. This is detrimental for Betty players when they try to defend themselves or their board during the opponent’s turn.

The Sky Island package tries to mitigate this weakness by focusing less on adding as many trigger characters into the deck and instead taking advantage of the searchers Betty, Shura, and Ohm to swarm the field.

Core Cards

Koala

Koala is the revolutionary army’s 2k counter plus she has a very useful effect of subtracting 3k power from a character. This can lead to potential combos with other characters or event cards.

Ivankov

Besides flooding the board through your triggers, Emporio is the second way you can play more revolution army type characters from your hand.

Belo Betty

Betty is the main searcher in OP05 for your revolutionary cards. In OP06, another searcher will be included that allows you to also play a revolution army character but for now this Betty is the only one available in the west.

Karasu

Karasu is a staple in a Betty deck despite not having a trigger. That is because he has an ability that allows you to subtract 1k power from a leader or character. This makes it hard for your opponent to defend their life or a character.

Morley

Morley is one of your revolution army characters with a trigger. Though he does not have a counter he does have a strong ability that will let you get through blockers. And if he feels like a dead card in hand you can always discard him for your leader’s ability.

Lindbergh

This guy is your second staple revolutionary army card with a trigger. This card does have a counter so he isn’t dead in hand. He can also KO a character with 3k or less power. That means he can KO small blockers or you can combo him with other cost reduction cards like Koala.

Inazuma

Inazuma is a great card becuase using your leader’s ability will mean this card can gain rush very easily. You can use Betty’s ability to buff him to 7k and as long as there is another character with at least 7k power then he gains rush.

Sky Island Cards in the Deck.

The fact Betty’s leader ability can also buff trigger cards that are not revolutionary army cards it makes sense to add them to the deck. But in this list we put more focus on the sky island cards. Shura adds a sky island card to your hand and because it is a trigger card you can use Betty’s leader ability to buff him into an attacker. Satori was already included in Betty decks so it is also included in this deck. But thanks to Shura we now have a way to search for him. Enel is an aggressive card that is also resilient to board removal once per turn. Which makes for a great late game card to put pressure on your opponent. Ohm and Holly are also included because they provide additional ways to flood the board and put pressure. Ohm can also become a 6k attacker when youre at 2 life or less, which can come in handy against whitebear or red purple luffy match ups.
